My Therapeutic Approach and Style

I'm dedicated to helping people navigate life's most challenging moments in a warm, supportive, professional space where you can feel comfortable sharing your most intimate thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience, I work with individuals, families, and groups using a variety of techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and solution-focused strategies geared to help my clients access and trust their inner wisdom and cope with emotional and mental challenges. I'm here to help my clients who are dealing with anxiety, women's issues, grief from the loss of a pet or loved one, chronic illness, disabilities, aging transitions, or the challenges of caregiving. I also support those facing the profound emotional and psychological impact of living with cancer. My goal is to help you find strength, meaning, and resilience as you navigate life's transitions, challenges, and to support you in developing concrete strategies and healthy coping skills to help you manage and improve your mental health and wellbeing wherever you may be on your journey. When I’m not working, you might find me in the garden, by the lake or snuggling with my sweet cat, Davis. We enjoy watching bad TV and listening to music and audiobooks together. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and entertaining.

Therapeutic Interventions should be individualized to meet each clients unique needs and challenges. I pull from a variety of strategies and techniques to tap into your strengths and abilities while maintaining a client focused approach to your personal treatment plan. CBT, Mindfulness Therapy and Solution Focused Practice are among the many available interventions I may use.

This is your time. You’ve chosen the important task of showing up to take care of yourself. During our sessions we will focus on your goals at your pace. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to explore your personal thoughts and feelings, help you overcome challenges, meet your goals and become the best version of yourself.
